Life, Work, and Synopsis
Born 1975, in Toronto, Canada

As a child, I played doctor with all my dolls, healing them from every imaginable disease. I eventually graduated to operating on bugs, especially potato bugs, which now, when I look back, wasn’t very kind.

I’ve always been that annoying friend who likes to tell everyone about the newest face cream, the best foods to eat, or the latest supplement to try. It became a problem 15 years ago when I started to feel a lot of pushback from friends who grew tired of me going on and on about things like why it’s important to take folate because our government promotes spraying our wheat fields with folic acid. Here I go again. So, I stopped. Cold turkey! Today, I hold back my tongue, but I’m hopeful that one day what I have to say will be sought out.

My husband will hold up his hand, showing me five fingers to let me know I have five minutes to rant about all my health stuff when we go out for dinner with friends. If anyone at the table says the slightest thing that triggers my “health nut brain,” I’ll just go off and take over the entire evening. So now we have a five-minute allowance which always makes me crack up.

So, that’s me. The girl that has too much to say and do.

If I had to describe myself in a few words, I would say I’m: loving, optimistic, a voracious researcher, perfectionist, determined, very hard working, never-ending, creative, loyal, not normal, and definitely not an NPC.

Words I live by.
“If it was easy, everyone would do it.”
“If you’re going to do something, do it right or don’t do it at all.”
“Persistence is the answer to how.”
“Being a dreamer is a gift, not a curse.”
“Not being normal is a blessing.”

My Education & Work History:

Elementary School: Told I had dyslexia, a learning disability, and extreme OCD.

High school: Focused on boys and going out.

College: Started taking things a bit more seriously and managed to get a Bachelor’s in International Business.

First business: In 1999, I knew the internet was going to be a huge deal, so I started an online magazine with two college friends called Magmatica.com (way back machine). Here I learned HTML, Photoshop, writing, and marketing and that working with others was hard.

Family business: My father has a small business that sells a saliva ovulation monitor. For the last 25 years, I’ve been helping with the website, marketing, customer service, etc.

My first real job: 2000, SEO marketing for an opt-in marketing company, lasted 6 months.

My Journey in the Startup World:

From the moment I stepped into college, I have lived, worked, and breathed in the world of startups. For more than two decades, I immersed myself in its dynamic ecosystem, exploring every conceivable facet: marketing, finance, customer service, R&D, sourcing, content creation, product development, and more. There wasn’t a role I didn’t embrace. Then, in 2007, the arrival of my baby boy marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

The Choopie.com years:

When my son was 2 years old, I saw a market for stroller accessories. I used my creativity and know-how to invent CityGrips, a stroller handlebar grip cover that you could take off and wash. I was disgusted by how dirty the stroller handlebar would get, so I designed and manufactured CityGrips. CityGrips was wildly successful for a good 7+ years until all the stroller companies started making their own.

2014 I met the man of my dreams at a Baby Goods convention in Cologne, Germany:

I was trying to get him to buy my CityGrips for a large chain of baby stores in Italy. We met, fell in love, got married, and have been happily married for 10 years now.

The next chapter of my life: Doing Who I Am years.

2012 rolled around, and I received the wake-up call to start doing what I came to this earth to do. Being home for my son was priority #1, so I always made sure I worked or studied close to home.

In 2016, I went back to school and loaded myself up with certificates and degrees over the course of 5+ years. One after the other, I couldn’t get enough of it. Master’s degree in Herbal Medicine with Honors, Cornell University plant-based nutrition, Health coach, Medical intuition, Radionics, NY State EMT certified, and more.

Here we are today, in the next chapter of my life. My son graduated high school early at 16 and will be a West Point Class of 2030 graduate. I’m now in Italy and ready to hit the ground running to do what I came here to do: nourish, heal, and educate people on bioavailable, nutrient-dense foods.

I’m always happy, but I’m even happier when I’m surrounded by research, farming, nutrition, and a lot of talking.

Yours truly,

Relentless Camie

I want to take this opportunity to thank my father Gerard for being my biggest cheerleader, my husband Simone for accepting me for who I am, and my son for letting me know what love is.
